Production Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to supervise shift team’s progress against work plans as defined by Production management to ensure the proper use of machinery, equipment, and assembly lines within a production area. Each day, you will provide regular feedback and make recommendations to management regarding issues within the production line, including production line organization, shifting priorities, and possible critical situations. You will also showcase your expertise by cooperating with the unit supervisor to create an effective work environment and reinforcing production schedules and quality.The work model for the role is: #Li - Onsite This role is contributing to the Motion Traction Division in Vadodara.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tDetermines actions to cost issues as necessary in order to manage operations within the budget and resources.\t\t•\tAdherence to set programs, projects, goals, and metrics to take the organization to the highest level of operational performance while optimizing working hours throughout Operations. •\tCollaborates with Operational Excellence teams to integrate lean manufacturing principles into production processes.•\tExecutes plans to reduce non-value added costs, increase revenues, and delight customers by delivering products on time with high factory and supplier yields and decreasing product field failure rates. •\tEnsures that 4Q Program (the standard ABB process improvement methodology) training and methods are implemented into the production•\tProvide support to Sales during customer visits to explain capabilities of the manufacturing facilities.

Qualifications for the role

\tDiploma/ Degree in Electrical/Mechanical engineering\tWith 3 to 5 years’ experience of Rotating Machines, preferably in traction motor manufacturing.\tTo ensure that Production is made based on the requirement and specification.
