Job Title: Senior Engineer-Quality
Division : Weir Minerals
Location: Bangalore Onsite

Function/ Position Description:Casting development with various materials ,CI, Steel and special grade materials.Develops and executes inspection plans and detailed based on requirements and/or customer feedback and prioritizationCommunicates professionally at all levels within and outside of the organization Supports, designs, develops, and enhances inspection / test processes and reporting for QA processesHand on experience of Pattern development,Defining the methoding. Raise NCR and monitor for closure with CAPA.Periodic validation of raw materials through 3rd party lab & OTSR verification and also PMI validation.Conduct process audit, product audit &coordinate for closure of actions. Supplier evaluation and conducting periodic audits.Good knowledge of IMS activities Manages inspection efforts across many varied suppliers and tasks under tight deadlinesFocusing on process improvements to achieve consistent quality of castings.Coordinate for disposal of rejected materials to respective suppliers through stores.Good knowledge on materials and corresponding IS/BS/DIN Standards.Mentors and provides training assistance to supplier QA Engineers

Key Responsibilities:

1.FTR for casting development.

2.Monitoring the effectiveness of CAPA.

3.Ensure 100%adherance to processes to achieve consistent quality of castings.

4.Ensure 100% adherence to OTSR for development parts.

Key Performance Indicators

1.Periodic OTSR for parts,

2.Kaizen 6/Annum

3.Achieve FPYR>98% and Incoming Casting rejection < 2%

4.2 implemented suggestion per quarter

5.Skill upgradation to become multi skilling

Safety Responsibilities:

Follow Safety norms as per Weir Group EHS policy and WMI IMS Policy

Facilitate safety trainings as per the company norms and standards

Facilitate safety events as per the company requirements

Hazard identification and closure of it

Active involvement in safety activities
