Senior Engineer - Valve Actuation Engineering

Job Summary

If you are an order execution and product engineering professional, Emerson has an exciting role for you! We are looking for a Senior Valve Automation Engineer to work with our Pervasive Sensing Team. This role will work independently and will be responsible for management & execution of Engineered to order (ETO) projects, meeting the target dates, and assuring a high output quality as a part of a global engineering team.  
 

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Detailed analysis / review of the customer specification Selection and technical definition of valve operating system components based on technical requirements like functionality, materials suitable for the application, customer specifications, applicable regulations and standard (specific for valve operating system) Design of new Control System and relevant operating diagram (hook up) , respecting best engineering practices, applicable regulations and standards and keeping into consideration manufacturing feasibility and safety aspects Design of new LSB and/or Positioner adaption  Design of new Valve adaption, flange + bush or spool + coupling joint in accordance with the valve/actuator constraints.  Selection and technical definition of valve mounting kit (VMK) components based on technical requirements: materials suitable for the application, customer specifications, applicable regulations and standard Create technical documentation requested by the projects such as bill of materials, assembly drawings, manufacturing drawings, calculations, installation & operational manual Technical support to manufacturing plant, upon request.

For This Role, You Will Need: Minimum 7 to 10 years' proven experience in Valve Automation Engineering Able to fully understand and develop a technical drawing Good knowledge of calculation for mechanical components Pneumatics and hydraulic application knowledge Proficient in engineering 2D/ 3D CAD PLM tools, preferable Creo and Windchill Sound Experience on ERP systems like Oracle, SAP etc. Good knowledge of Office Suite in particular Excel Thoroughness in documentation, attention to detail  Exposure to structural calculation using finite elements analysis software and understanding in metal mechanic industry or in the oil and Gas sector Fluent in English (both written and verbal) and effectively communicate with Global & cross-functional teams. 
  Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

           Bachelor or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering
