The foundation of a connected world, it’s a network free of the limitations of the past, and flexible enough to satisfy all the social, economic and transformative needs of the changing world. **Job Duties and Responsibilities** **Key Responsibilities:** + **Network Architecture and Design** + Design and implement highly available and scalable network solutions on AWS, including VPCs, subnets, route tables, and NAT gateways + Develop multi-region and hybrid cloud network architectures to meet business continuity and disaster recovery requirements + Create and optimize VPN connections, Direct Connect setups, and Transit Gateway configurations + Integrate on-premises infrastructure with AWS cloud environments using secure networking practices + **Network Performance and Monitoring** + Monitor network health, performance, and usage using tools like AWS CloudWatch, VPC Flow Logs, and third-party solutions + Troubleshoot network latency, packet loss, and connectivity issues across regions and hybrid environments + Optimize data transfer costs and improve throughput using solutions like AWS Global Accelerator and CloudFront + **Collaboration and Support** + Collaborate with application, DevOps, and security teams to align network solutions with business goals + Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and operational teams on cloud networking + Act as the escalation point for complex network-related incidents and root cause analysis + **Advanced Networking** + Manage advanced AWS networking features like AWS PrivateLink, Elastic Load Balancing (ALB/NLB), and IPv6 deployments + Work with service meshes like App Mesh for managing microservices communication + Configure and manage DNS services using Amazon Route 53 **Skills, Experience and Requirements** **Education and Experience:** + Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical degree + 4+ years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience **Skills and Qualifications:** + In-depth knowledge of AWS networking services: VPC, Route 53, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, AWS Global Accelerator, and VPN + Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, NAT, and routing protocols + Experience with load balancers, firewalls, and network security + Familiarity with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Datadog **Preferred Certifications** : + AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty + AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) + CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking certifications **Salary Ranges** Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $137,500.00/Year **Benefits** We offer versatile health perks, including flexible spending accounts, HSA, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, career opportunities, and a flexible time away plan; all benefits can be viewed here: DISH Benefits .
