Senior Engineer - Workplace Technology | Intune

This role is part of the GBS Workplace Technology (WPT) engineering team providing IT services to a global userbase of 25,000 colleagues. The WPT engineering consists of solution architects and engineers that design, implement and support enhancements to the existing services and new services. In this role you will be expected to work within a Matrix based organization and have strong collaboration and communication skills.
 

You will have the opportunity to support key strategic initiatives to bring innovation and improvements of workplace services, innovate our security compliance and standards and participate in our workplace developments. Within this context, you will take accountability for the end-to-end delivery of solutions against a predefined scope of work.

Work activities as part of this role will consist of the development and enhancements for virtual desktops and physical endpoints. The virtual desktops are part of the Remote Workplace service, supports 7,000 users worldwide for their day to day work and is considered a strategic technology. The primary workplace technologies for this role are focused on Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop and Window 365, Amazon Workspaces and Amazon AppStream 2.0

Responsibilities

Contributes to the development of technical designs, policies, and standards for GBS Workplace Technology servicesImplementation of virtual desktop technologies and supporting technologies, with the strong emphasis on using Microsoft Intune for end-point management. Onboarding of business applicationsProvides specialist guidance and support for other GBS IT teams to ensure the service is healthy, available and utilized efficientlyFacilitates open communication and discussion between direct colleagues and other teams to support engineering activities and operational support

Qualifications
