Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be working as Sr Engineer Manager and manage a team of designers/engineers to deliver high quality, cost effective and timely engineering solutions for various products, formulate plan, allocate resources to meet the agreed contractual and financial targets. Ensure team's compliance with standard processes, procedures, practices and safety requirements.The work model for the role is: #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Motion business for System Drives division in Nelamangala -Bangalore, IndiaYou will be mainly responsible for :•\tDefines and ensures implementation of operating guidelines for team. Oversees progress within own area of responsibility, identifies and manages technical issues.•\tDrives team performance to ensure that deliverables are met on time, as per the set contract, safety and quality requirements.•\tEnsures that the engineering team is adequately resourced, developed and•\tequipped to meet business needs.•\tEnsures correct assignments of tasks within the engineering team, defines relevant performance metrics.•\tCreates work plans and cost estimates for engineering work.•\tCollaborates with other stakeholders locally and globally to ensure the team’s goals are aligned with the overall Division / Product Group goals and the systems and processes are implemented in line with global standards.•\tCollaborate with the Supply Chain function to ensure that correct suppliers services and equipment are available to support the engineering execution•\tConceptualize new designs and translate concept into Product design. Designing products considering to project requirements (performances, manufacturability, serviceability, testability, etc) as per Global Engineering Process.

Qualifications for the role

\tRequires a Bachelor's / Master’s degree in electrical/Electronics/Power Electronics Engineering. \tPrefer 15+ years of experience in a relevant senior position\tMust have good experience in power electronics applications in Industrial, Energy Storage or similar fields.\tProficiency in design software’s including MATLAB etc and also in design simulations and prototyping. Desirable Attributes:\tGood experience in technical aspects in the field of Electrical and Power Electronic.\tTeam Management, Possess team orientation toward accomplishing common goals\tAbility to interact, communicate and work effectively with all like Internal cross function Teams, Global team, Customer, and vendors.\tExperienced with all phases of Engineering activities and should have demonstrated an active working relationship with both internal and external customers\tGood communication skills, written and verbal
