Autodesk is seeking a motivated and seasoned Engineering Manager to join our Connected Delivery platform team. This platform is responsible for enabling the discovery, download, and installation of all the Autodesk products, services, and third-party apps. You'll be responsible for building and leading a full stack team to develop modern experiences with scalable and resilient services that scale with the growing demand and are highly available.
As an ideal candidate, you’ll have led teams developing modern web experiences with cloud services in a fast-paced, agile environment. You’ll know how to build and guide highly effective and high-performing teams and inspire them to remain at the cutting edge of the fastest-growing technology stack. You’ll excel at being a mentor and coach to engineers at all points of their career journey
Responsibilities
Setup vision and technical strategy to drive impactful business outcomes
Lead, manage, and mentor a team of full-stack engineers.
Set clear expectations and foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative work environment
Hire, manage, and develop a professional staff of engineers to set up a new team
Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners to shape the team's roadmap
Promote a culture of continuous improvement through code reviews, design reviews, and knowledge sharing
Provide feedback and recommendations to senior management on software project development and capabilities
Identify efficiency opportunities through automation, engineering, and process improvements
Ensure high software engineering standards, including efficiency, quality, security, and resiliency
Plan, execute, and ensure the success of complex technical projects
Minimum Qualifications
BE/BS degree or equivalent practical experience (MS in Computer Science or a related degree is preferred)
10+ years of hands-on technical leadership and 5+ years of people management experience
Experience in taking an idea and turning it into impactful products
Proficiency in recruiting, organizing, and motivating teams
Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders
Strong knowledge of cloud service platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Strong experience in technologies, such as ReactJS and NodeJS.
Experience with scrum and agile development processes and methodologies
Proactive, quick decision maker with excellent communication and written skills
Proven ability to manage and resolve complex and ambiguous issues
