Senior Engineering Manager - Salesforce

You will perform all people management for outcomes design and architecture work in FCNA Salesforce platforms, collaborating also with FCNA teams in Salesforce development and Salesforce administration projects. Additionally, you will contribute on specifications based on stakeholder requirements, validate proposals received, and deliver IT solutions required in FCNA Salesforce platforms in coordination with FCNA Salesforce development teams. At the same time, your work will require extensive and cohesive integration with the rest of FCNA IT organization to ensure Salesforce platform strategy is aligned in all FCNA teams. This role comes with the potential to grow/evolve as part of the growing and developing Salesforce strategy of FCN

 

       

Position Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent applied experience/professional qualification).Overall 15+ years of experience10+ years of Salesforce development knowledge.2+ years of Salesforce-powered solution design experience.Salesforce Dev (Platform Developer) & Architecture (Application, Technical…) certifications.Extensive knowledge of Salesforce development lifecycle tools & techniques.Proven experience in the design of secure, high-performance technical solutions that maximize the potential of the Salesforce platform.Strong proficiency in Salesforce dev ecosystem (Apex, LWC, Visualforce, Java).Extensive proficiency in Salesforce development (using Microsoft Visual Studio and SalesforceLightning Design System).Ability to design and integrate API services in Salesforce Service Cloud solution.Experience with the Salesforce.com APEX data loader, Salesforce.com web services APIs/Platform Event/Changedata capture/REST/Pub/Sub.Experience using Anypoint/Mulesoft platform as Salesforce Integration ESB.Experience with Salesforce application lifecycle (CI/CD pipelines, including testing).Strong ability to understand and collaborate working with application designs, technology stacks, multiple codebases, and related business objectives.Excellent problem solving, analytical and communication skills.Ability to write, interpret and critique technical specifications.Proactive attitude to integrate Salesforce innovations into existing solutions.Demonstrated ability to drive development of highly technical technology services and capabilities.

Additional Salesforce certifications (Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, Data Architect).Experience in SRE in Copado and ability to architect the services considering observability, traceability, and monitoring aspects.Proven experience in architecting and implementing service-oriented solutions considering HA/DR capabilities and including performance monitoring features.Experience in configuring and managing enterprise monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace…).Experience with integration with Cloud PaaS tech stacks (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.).Active profile in Salesforce community.

 

Due to the nature of the work, which may be driven by strict deadlines, there will be an occasional requirement to work flexible hours, which may include evenings and/or weekends. Our products are used worldwide, therefore occasional trips abroad may also be required.

Key Responsibilities:

 

Will be responsible for managing the delivery outcomes of the Agile team including managing agile ceremonies, allocations and outcomes along with the responsible agile roles.Will be responsible for the outcomes of team members and their ongoing personal development and performance managementDefine, design, and implement the solution and integration architecture of any Salesforce-powered platform in FCNA technology ecosystem.Coordinate with multiple FCNA IT Architecture teams to provide technical Salesforce expertise required to deliver solutions required by FCNA business teams.Investigate and propose solutions to development and design problems using Salesforce technology and resources (focusing on reusability).Optimize the use of Salesforce technologies and technical integration patterns across FCNA.  Build and maintain digital expertise by researching latest industry trends and standards, driving innovation through PoCs and experiments.Act as technical leader as well for Salesforce Lead developers in FCNA IT teams.Have a good handle of Apex (classes and triggers) to extend Salesforce to support business requirements. o Custom User Interface development, including Lightning pages and Web Components.Working knowledge of Salesforce APIs to integrate with other corporate systems following existing standards.Guide teams to Integrate additional business applications to Salesforce (such as DocuSign)handled projects involving Automate performance monitoring and notifications using best practices and tools. Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g. business stakeholders, product owners, project managers, and end users) to understand functional and non-functional requirements.Coordinate projects with Salesforce Administrators to validate business requirements and any considerations (security, scalability, limits).Collaborating with Ford IT /Development teams to integrate Salesforce across the business.Adhere to Salesforce best practices, maintain code documentation, and write / maintain test classes for all custom development. Extend those best practices across Ford organizations.Advise teams on cloud design, development, and architecture. Follow enterprise architecture processes in collaboration with FCNA IT team to create service blueprints.Coach and mentor Salesforce engineers and Salesforce Admins in Ford development community.Drive gile practices including but not limited to Stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint demos and journey mapping.Ability to understand high-level sales and service center strategies and requirements, translate them into system and process requirements, and manage the system implementation.Identify dependencies on other systems in the overall engineering landscape to arrive at a potential solution for the problem statement.Provide thought & solution leadership from a Salesforce best practices perspective.Experience with Salesforce integration patterns, data migration practices, governor limits. Collaborate with the business, internal IT teams, Data Migration, QA and Release management group members to ensure the development milestones are all achieved on time, with approved design.Responsible for directing and managing multiple teams and projects to accomplish business goals.Continuous improvement mindset– proven track record of developing and refining processes to meet the team goals.Experience in a matrixed IT organization and on and offshore development teams including 3rd party vendors.Lead complex Agile Scrum to drive Salesforce projects or programs.Experience in interacting with Senior IT and business leadership.Taken engineering solutions through full lifecycle from concept, through release and into ongoing operations
