We're looking for an Engineering Strategist to join our fast-growing Engineering Strategy Team in the Office of the CTO to help us unleash the potential of every business. This role is responsible for shaping and communicating the strategic vision for engineering and ensuring alignment with the broader organizational investment strategy and goals. The ideal candidate will act as a strategic thought leader and change agent, partnering with senior leaders to define and maintain development strategies, enable effective delivery, capture value, and drive governance.

What you'll own

Strategic Vision & Executive Narration:

- Define, maintain, and communicate a consolidated strategic view of development strategy, initiatives, and outcomes.

- Rationalize the development portfolio, ensuring alignment with the broader investment strategy.

- Develop and deliver board and executive content, including end-state architecture narratives, staffing strategies, and CTO goals.

- Act as the chief delegate for the Director of Engineering Strategy, performing ad hoc analysis and material creation as needed.

Value Capture and Outcome Tracking:

- Review and recommend outcomes and metrics strategies for key development initiatives.

- Partner with Finance and operations teams to effectively track and report associated benefits.

- Collaborate with Finance in the investment planning process to fund strategic development initiatives, aligning investments with end-state architecture and product vision.

- Partner with M&A to develop and document technical due diligence and post-merger integration playbook.

Governance:

- Define, mature, and standardize the development organizational governance model across all lines of business, aligning with enterprise governance.

- Drive automation and streamlining across governance forums in partnership with key groups

What you bring

You have a bachelor's or master's degree

4+ years of overall experience, previous experience in consulting preferred

Previous experience in payments/fintech or M&A is preferred

Strong interpersonal, communication & quantitative skills

Dexterous multitasker ready to jump in to tackle new challenges thoughtfully

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and interact effectively with personnel and management across technical and business functions

A strong sense of teamwork and a willingness to contribute to the professional growth of your colleagues

Worldpay is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $98,090.00 - $164,800.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
