Senior Engineering Technician

Set up and test engineering designs for large electronic and mechanical signs. Gather the hardware, wire the PCBAs and components together to design, build, and load the software components, test the system, and document / report the results. Designs include LED, and motor-controlled message-type signage for highways and gas stations.

Senior Engineering Technician Details:

Direct Hire position$50,000.00 to $70,000.00 /annuallyFirst ShiftSet up and test engineering designs for large electronic and mechanical signs.Gather the hardware, wire the PCBAs and components together to design, build, and load the software components, test the system, and document / report the results.Designs include LED, and motor-controlled message-type signage for highways and gas stations.Areas of exposure: Basic Linux command line usage Embedded systemsMicrocontrollersSerial communication protocols RS2332, RS485, Ethernet, SPI and IC2 PCBA testEmbedded firmware LabVIEW

Senior Engineering Technician Qualifications:

Ability to read schematicsAbility to read wiring diagramsTroubleshooting skills using lab equipment such as logic analyzers and o-scopesWrite technical reportsCreate test plans and documentationValidate products against standards documentsTroubleshoot electrical and electronic failures to the PCBAAbility to work on several projects simultaneouslyFlexible attitude fostering the ability to work closely with others.
