The Work You'll Do:

The Senior Enterprise Account Executive is a key driver of revenue growth, responsible for identifying opportunities to expand client engagement with Sovos compliance products. You will actively review contracts to uncover potential upsell and cross-sell opportunities, while leading discussions to address clients' evolving compliance needs. This role centers around developing and executing a high-impact sales engagement strategy, with a focus on proactive prospecting and delivering tailored, customer-centric solutions. The ideal candidate will excel at territory planning and leverage a deep understanding of client needs and Sovos’ solution portfolio to guide clients through their buying journey. Success in this role also requires positioning yourself as a trusted advisor, delivering thought leadership and insights that add value throughout the sales process.

More specifically, you will:

Drive revenue growth by assessing and maximizing the value of Sovos' SaaS products and services for current accounts, while maintaining a balanced pipeline across your assigned territory. Deliver profitable agreements, consistently meeting and exceeding revenue targets with accurate forecasting, and building a year-over-year track record of strong performance. Manage complex agreements independently, leveraging advanced negotiation skills with procurement teams and ensuring seamless deal execution, even in late-stage changes. Foster customer satisfaction by acting with integrity, communicating clear value throughout the sales cycle, and setting realistic expectations for product implementation and use. Engage in executive-level discussions to drive value-based conversations and close a high percentage of late-stage deals. Communicate effectively across multiple channels (phone, email, social platforms, in-person), ensuring strong client relationships and sales outcomes. Demonstrate initiative, drive, and commitment to both personal development and the success of the business, while contributing to onboarding and mentoring efforts within the team.

What We Need From You

3+ years of sales or account management experience with quota responsibility, preferably in a B2B environment, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding annual quotas. Experience in SaaS solutions and environments preferred, with the ability to grow and retain a book of business while consistently surpassing quota targets. Expertise in delivering consultative, value-based sales approaches, listening to customer needs, and shaping long-term client relationships. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in navigating challenging conversations and negotiations with procurement, legal teams, and during contract renewals. Self-motivated team player with a drive to exceed targets, demonstrating integrity and professionalism in all interactions. Comfortable with technology tools (e.g., phone systems, computer hardware/software) to fulfill work requirements, including effective communication over the phone. Able to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally for Sovos events, client meetings, and trade shows. Demonstrated ability to act as a role model within the sales team, sharing best practices and insights to foster a collaborative environment. Strong decision-making skills, balancing business, client, and team needs, with a commitment to building cross-functional partnerships and leveraging external relationships to accelerate sales.
