What You’ll Do We are looking for a Senior Customer Account Manager to join our Enterprise Customer Account Management Team to make an outstanding contribution to the growth of our regional sales capability. You will operate as part of a passionate and successful team, our Customer Account Managers sell Avalara's complete range of Tax Technology solutions and services to our customers in the EMEA region, and working with our Customer Success Team to gain intimate knowledge or our customers business and deliver an excellent experience. You will work on a hybrid basis with expectations of 1-2 days per week from our Brighton office and you will report into the team manager. What Your Responsibilities Will Be You will establish and grow professional working relationships and network with daily users up to the executive level You will execute campaigns and use networking opportunities and technologies to drive lead generation with existing ecommerce, retail, software projects requiring tax or cross-border compliance solutions You will manage a pipeline of cross-sell and upsell opportunities within a set of existing accounts and deliver results against a quota You will provide forecasts and risk analysis to your direct manager and track customer and partner interaction, using Salesforce Use Experience digging into prospects' pain points and validating the issues they're facing for sales calls, product presentations, webinars and face-to-face meetings Create a win-win environment for the client and Avalara by negotiating issues related to contracts, pricing and service fees Work in a team environment with a Customer Success Manager to promote client retention and satisfaction Mentor/coach more junior Customer Account Managers What You'll Need to be Successful Experience in an existing business, quota-carrying sales role 5 years' experience minimum in B2B selling of managed services, SaaS software or VAT related services, preferably to tax, finance, IT or business owners at a senior level Knowledge of indirect tax or VAT compliance Experience fostering relationships and growing Enterprise/Strategic accounts Experience being held to and motivated by metrics Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects both internally and externally Experience balancing multiple sales opportunities Specialised knowledge of the retail, software, logistics, finance, accounting or tax industry, would be a distinct advantage At least one second European language would be a strong advantage #LI-LS1 #LI-HYBRID How We'll Take Care of You Total Rewards In addition to a great compensation package, paid time off, and paid parental leave, many Avalara employees are eligible for bonuses.
