The organizational unit "Compute Cloud and Networks" is responsible for managing and setting the Cariad on-premise data center and network infrastructure. Our intention is satisfying our users and developers with end-2-end designed services and products.

As an IT Network Engineer (m/f/d) you will be responsible together with your team for the operation and enhancement of our active and passive IT infrastructure (data center and office network).

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Operate and enhance the active and passive IT infrastructure of CARIAD Be responsible for setting up and configure switches, firewalls, WLAN, NAC, monitoring, WAN and internet Define and configure IT-Security of the infrastructure and be responsible for infrastructure documentation (preferred FNT Command) Handle physical network devices Provide 2nd/3rd Level Network Support and on call duty for network related issues according to service level agreements Assign and check offers of vendors regarding compliance and costumer requirements Manage external partners like electricians or building designer on-site

WHO YOU ARE

Completed vocational training as a Network Engineer or completed studies in computer science, business informatics or a comparable relevant education or significant expertise that enables you to fulfill this role At least 3 years of practical experience as a network engineer Proven know-how in active and passive network components as switches, firewalls, W-LAN, NAC, monitoring, WAN, LAN, VPN Solution-oriented and hands-on-mentality Independent, reliable, structured work style and communication skills Fluent English language skills (oral and written), German language skills are a plus
