Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a Senior Enterprise IT Support Officer (EITSO) – Installer to support an Intelligence Community (IC) program in northern Virginia. In this role you will work in a dynamic environment to provide Tier 1 and 2 installer switch support. The client requires a customer service focused candidate with the ability support 24x7 operations; due to mission needs there may be the requirement to work extended hours during critical peaks and/or the requirement to be available for last-minute requests.

Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

Supporting all facets of network installations, which includes the physical placement of conduit, CAT5 and fiber optic cable, wall jacks, hardware, racks, and communications equipment as required.Installing conveyances, pulling and terminating cable, determining and implementing required pin outs, installing and configuring equipment chase, cards power supplies, racks, patch panels, etc., testing and documenting installations, dressing and labeling cables, racks, patch panels, etc.Working extensively with IT and related teams in the deployment, stabilization, and ongoing operation of systems.Supporting projects that include cabling and implementation in accordance with design documents and build-to packages.Attending customer meetings.Supporting activities to improve the overall excellence of the team by supporting the creation of Knowledge Articles, Work Instructions, SOPs, etc.Providing input on team’s success, accomplishments, roadblocks, etc.Providing weekly status reports, and other reports as required.Meeting contractual performance criteria.Traveling locally between client buildings.Working independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.Installing, configuring, repairing and maintaining telecommunications equipment including personal computer communications apparatus, data communications equipment, telephone system equipment and new telephones.Performing telephone switch programming, maintenance and system diagnostics; troubleshooting switch-related outages; determining system load and performing preventive maintenance and expansion of the telecommunications network.Performing routine telephone moves, changes, installations and repairs. Following proper instructions when installing, maintaining and repairing telephones, circuits and related equipment in response to scheduled projects.Programing telecommunication switches to accommodate new services and changes; performing system moves and changes internally or via remote access.Working with engineering personnel to assist them with any technical issues encountered.Leveraging strong communication skills amongst stakeholders of varying levels (co-workers, management, and customers) to exchange accurate information. Embracing diverse technical disciplines and excellent customer service skills.

Security Clearance Requirement:

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.

Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of applicable experience. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.Experience with implementation of the client’s classified and unclassified LAN infrastructures (including scripting, configuration, cutover and troubleshooting).Experience installing and troubleshooting telephone instruments and media gateways on the client’s classified and unclassified networks.Experience with implementation on the client's new unclassified network LAN infrastructure.Experience reading and understanding cable run lists.Experience in a variety of cabling areas including 110 type cross connections, RJ45 patch panels, wire wrap terminals, copper cable terminations, DSX Panel T-1 cabling, fiber terminations.Excellent knowledge of various cabling methodologies, industry standards and troubleshooting techniques.Original Posting Date:2025-02-20

Pay Range:Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
