Environmental, Operations and Construction (EOC) operates within HDR’s Federal Business Group, capable of delivering services across all HDR business groups at any location. Our work is performed by our professional staff, scientists and engineers at remote sites, embedded in client office space or our own facilities. EOC delivers quality engineering, environmental, and construction management services at competitive prices.
We are hiring a Senior Environmental Planner to work at our client site at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Primary Responsibilities
Plan and direct medium- to large-size planning and environmental compliance projectsPerform complex assignments, making independent decisions on problems and methodsPrepare, plan and analyze/review technical studies, permit applications, NEPA documents, and similar reports/documentsDirect work of others in completion of required studies, documents and reportsDemonstrate extensive public participation, agency coordination, planning and programming experienceEnsures daily job site construction inspections and inspection reports of several concurrent construction projects are conducted to monitor contractor compliance with engineering plans, specifications, contractual obligations, and governing laws and regulationsPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsAICP certificationRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Environmental Science or closely related field A minimum of 10 years technical and/or field experience in complex environmental planning projectsProficiency with MS Office Suite Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills Strong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving and research abilities Technical and/or field experience dealing with environmental impact issues, associated permit processes and documentation preparation/review An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
