Senior Environmental Project Manager
Job Description

Oversee all facets of facilities, materials, environmental, or geotechnical engineering projects to ensure safe, timely, and within-budget completion. Ensure adherence to the contracted scope, monitor progress, and performance against the project plan. Address and resolve operational issues to minimize delays.

ResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of large-scale and complex projects.Work with client or NAM to define project scope, schedule, and budget.Lead interactions with clients and stakeholders to ensure their goals are considered in the execution of the work.Design, communicate, and implement a project plan for completing a project.Lead safety efforts including preparation and compliance with approved safety plan.Resolve operational problems and minimize delays.Identify, develop, and gather necessary resources to complete the project.Prepare designs and work specifications; develop schedules, budgets, and forecasts; select materials, equipment, project staff, and contractors.Estimate costs, resources, and time required to complete the project.Prepare forecasts for expenditures and manage scope, schedule to meet budget.Monitor activities, allocate resources, and assign tasks to ensure targets are met.Partner with other departments or offices to secure specialized resources for the project.Conduct project meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team.Coach and mentor project staff and assist them in solving problems.Coordinate with APR to ensure appropriate oversight and sufficient time for quality reviews.Coordinate with accounting for financial management, invoicing, and collections.Develop an understanding of project-related risks and be familiar with company risk policies.Lead safety efforts for the team and ensure the team follows safety rules and guidelines.Promote pre-task planning for all projects.Monitor and promote quality standards and practices.Provide consistent quality standards on project and proposal delivery.Engage APRs on projects at their onset.Begin documented mentoring and application process for Authorized Project Reviewer certification.Essential SkillsSoil samplingPhase I and II environmental site assessmentsGroundwater samplingReport writingSafety proceduresEnvironmental remediationGroundwaterEnvironmental project managementEnvironmental scienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Geology, Civil or Environmental Engineering, or related field.Minimum 5 years of direct experience with documented growth and increasing responsibility.Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.Ability to obtain a professional license (P.E., P.G., CHMM) is a plus.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), or similar professional registration/certification relevant to the type of services and projects being managed.Authorized Project Reviewer status preferred.Work Environment

Primarily in office, but consultant may need to go into the field as needed for projects.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $55.29/hr.
