What you will be doing Audits, analyzes, and reports environmental performance to clients and regulatory bodies. Advises design and construction teams on minimizing environmental impacts. Manages subcontractors for specific environmental tasks. Conducts impact assessments to mitigate environmental risks and costs. Prepares environmental reports for supervisor and leadership review. Raises awareness of emerging environmental issues across the organization and engages in environmental education and research. Coordinates public hearings and consultations on environmental matters. Trains staff and subcontractors on environmental responsibilities.  What we are looking for

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Environmenal Science, Natural Resources Management, Environmental Engineering or an environmental related field required.  Experience successfully managing environmental compliance of bridge construction in a coastal marine environment required including:

Developing and managing a storm water pollution protection plan,

Developing and managing a hazardous substance and petroleum products management plan

Implementing environmental mitigation plans

Providing environmental and personal protection training; and (v) monitoring compliance with

environmental permits, such as Section 401, Section 404, and USCG permitsEnvironmental certification preferred.  3+ years’ experience or training in environmental regulatory and construction industry compliance preferred.  CPESC Certification (CA QSP) preferred.  Experience with endangered species and ecological restoration preferred. Knowledge of the local regulations or skill sets related to the specific work on project Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and new legislation Technical writing and communication skills Able to lead a team or project effort.  Able to manage subcontractors for project specific specialty environmental work.   Why work for us
