Noblis MSD is currently seeking a Senior Environmental Test Manager in San Diego, CA.
- Candidate will develop mechanical engineering designs to meet DoD specifications. Designed solutions will be tested to validate compliance with DoD specifications.
- Candidate will provide testing and general engineering support for engineering team at the customer location.
- Efforts will be focused toward COTS integration for military communications systems.
- Candidate will develop, review and validate system test plans and procedures and generate and submit system test reports.
- Candidate will interface with customers and test activities to schedule test dates, witness test evolutions and generate final test reports.
- Candidate will provide additional mechanical support for the preparation, review, analysis and modification of technical documents and data packages and perform trade studies and equipment candidate selection.
About 20 % travel is required - local and continental US.
Required Qualifications Eight to ten years cumulative experience in the design, testing and analysis of electronic equipment for military shipboard use. At least 5 years recent relevant experience in performing environmental qualification testing of military systems including shock, vibration and EMI/EMC.At least 3 years of management experienceDemonstrate a working knowledge of current standards and specifications to include MIL-DTL-901E, MIL-STD-167-1A, MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461.Candidate must possess a strong background in the design, integration, test and documentation of shipboard equipment.Strong technical, managerial, interpersonal, written and verbal skills are a must.Candidate must have the ability to direct engineering personnel and operate effectively in a team environment as well as independently and provide direct interface with customers.Experience in the creation of environmental qualification test plans and procedures.Education:Bachelors in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.
