Maintenance and Machine Reliability

This role is responsible for providing specifications, acquisition, installation oversight, and acceptance testing of capital equipment for manufacturing and test applications across all Bell sites. The Senior Equipment Engineer is also responsible for assisting in the identification and implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies as well as determining the remaining useful life of equipment through life cycle analysis.

What you’ll be doing as a Senior Equipment Engineer

Meet regularly with COE management to review current and future capital projectsCoordinate with support organizations (Facilities, Maintenance, IT, Safety, and Environmental) to ensure proper communications and coordination of capital and non-capital projectsSupport Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S initiatives with technical collaboration and equipment items to facilitate project implementations.Maintains vendor and contractor relationships as necessary to assure the continued supportability of equipment procurement actions as well as budget planning effortsOversee the installation of the purchased equipment to ensure that the equipment is installed properlyOversee the Final Acceptance Tests at Bell to ensure that the purchased equipment operates per the Performance Specification and is released to the end-user or the development engineer upon completion.Resolve technical problems.Direct activities of suppliers and contractorsManage project schedule and cost to budget.Create functional technical equipment specifications, and guide suppliers through quotation, design, installation, and acceptance testing.This position is responsible for planning, budgeting, acquisition, installation, training, and surplus of items within funding requirements.

Skills You Bring To this Role

· Knowledge of chemical processing systems, plating systems, heat treating systems, parts cleaning equipment, and painting systems.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)

· This position must work well in a team environment, be action/results-oriented, and demonstrate team and project leadership ability.

· Ability to influence cross-functional teams and projects and achieve goals.

· Communicates clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing and at all levels of the organization

· Fosters a strong entrepreneurial spirit and thrives in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities with limited resources.

What you need to be successful

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

· 5 years of related experience problem solving in an operations efficiency manufacturing environment or project management in an equipment installation manufacturing environment

· Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD are desired

· Team player with the desire, passion, and motivation

· Experience in developing, implementing, and improving processes

· Organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a high volume of tasks and deliverables
