Overview This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office. This position promotes and sells commercial leasing and term loan products through face-to-face client interaction, as well as through branch associates and vendors, at an advanced level of ability and production. Provides technical expertise on the proper structure of leases and loans in accordance with client needs, tax implications, and lending policy. Builds a strong sales network and prepares documentation to facilitate the leasing process, driving sales to achieve department growth, branch portfolio growth, and profitability objectives. Serves as a subject matter expert in risk mitigation and tax law. May provide guidance on complex matters to less experienced associates in the work group. Responsibilities Outside Sales - Achieves personal and department goals by generating new Bank product sales, with a focus on meeting and closing sales in-person. Promotes equipment finance to clients, vendors, and branch associates by participating in sales calls, explaining benefits, and applying relevant product expertise. Assists in developing a call list of clients and prospects. Product Support - Serves as a product specialist able to structure leases and term loans appropriately. Determines and communicates lease and loan structures effectively with clients, vendors, branch associates, and other outside parties. Conduct presentations to educate others on subject matter. Serves as a resource to wider business unit and clients on products through experience and industry knowledge. Ability to effectively gauge collateral risk and determine the useful life of various equipment asset types. Documentation - Prepares appropriate lease documentation. Assists branch associates with credit documentation and information. Prepares proposals, commitment letters, and selling structures. Relationship Development - Develops and maintains relationships with clients, vendors, and other associates. Builds sales network in territory and establishes rapport. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Business Lending or Leasing OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Business Lending or Leasing Preferred Area of Experience: Sales License or Certification Type: Valid driver's license Required Skill(s): Working knowledge of accounting and rules for determining tax status of lease transactions, Ability to travel and method of transportation
