This position works out of our Plymouth MN, location in the Electrophysiology medical device division. In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
This role will support the ergonomic safety within the manufacturing, R&D and process development engineering teams, supporting the planning and process improvement for ergonomics that leads to a reduction in work related injuries and illnesses.
What You'll Work On
Lead the organization in the application of engineering and ergonomic principles for existing and new processes, equipment design, and ergonomic program planning, training, and implementation. Partner with site EHS and Occupational health on ergonomic prevention strategies.Identify and assess ergonomic hazards in the workplaceWork in an embedded client environmentProduce technical reports in a proficient and timely mannerInstruct and/or facilitate training as requiredComplete data collection and detailed analysisManage multiple projects concurrentlyProfessionally and effectively interact with diverse clientelePromote safe, healthy, and inspired workplace environmentsThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.May require other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications
Degree is Health Sciences or Engineering (Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, Exercise Science, Engineering or Bio-Physical Engineering) with an ergonomic focus preferred.4+ year’s experience working with ergonomic applications in a manufacturing environmentAbility to work in a team for a common goalAbility to work independently as requiredAbility to travel as neededProfessional demeanor and conductEffective time management and change management skillsEffective written and verbal skillsEffective decision-making skillsKnowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software and/or an EMR.* Participants who complete a short wellness assessment qualify for FREE coverage in our HIP PPO medical plan. The base pay for this position is $72,700.00 – $145,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
