Job Description

Purpose & Scope:

As receptionist for the Executive Suite, incumbent answers telephones and refers callers as appropriate or provides the information requested. Greets all incoming visitors and announces or directs them to the appropriate party. Directs meeting attendees to the appropriate meeting location. The receptionist has frontline responsibility for handling customer service interactions through telephone and personal contact, as well as written communication, with both internal and external customers. Also incorporated into the receptionist function are daily operational tasks that can be performed at the workstation, including calendar management, coordination of correspondence, and general office clerical duties. The receptionist is expected to maintain neat and orderly surroundings and a calm atmosphere in the reception area of the Executive Suite.

Education:

High school diploma and some college is preferred.

Experience:

Five years of executive reception experience is preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

None.

Working Conditions:

Administrative: Works in a well-lighted/ventilated office setting. Subject to frequent interruptions. Willing to work beyond normal working hours when requested to do so. Minimal occupational exposure to infectious diseases, blood borne pathogens, hazardous chemicals, noxious odors, latex, or musculoskeletal injuries. May encounter patients, family members, co-workers, and visitors under all conditions, e.g. hostile and/or emotionally upset.
