Senior Exposure Management Analyst - Salary of Circa £70,000

Location - London

This is a great role for someone with Exposure Management experience in Insurance to put your stamp on the analytical framework, at an incredibly exciting time for the business.  

 An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Exposure Management Team at Aviva. The role will support management of our exposures across all lines of business written by UKGI across the globe. 

Exposure Management comprises of technical subject matter experts across all commercial lines. The team is central and integral to many programmes within Aviva, reaching out to influence all the UK and Global Business units including GCS, SME, Digital, Claims, Risk Management and Actuarial.  

A bit about the job: 

Review and analyse exposure data using 3rd party and proprietary platforms and tools ensuring data quality, accuracy, and adherence to internal guidelines relative to Aviva’s Risk appetite. Effectively communicate any relevant findings to the responsible underwriters 

Work closely with the underwriters to communicate portfolio aggregations both within each class and across the business 

Support development of Aviva’s exposure management techniques for modelled perils/territories and improvement of existing techniques. 

Supporting the group rollup process and associated reporting requirements for the Commercial division 

Proven track record of data audit.  You will carry out data quality analytics and work with underwriters to improve the completeness, resolution and appropriateness of key data inputs 

Skills & Experience Required: 

Strong experience within an Exposure management team and understanding Insurance and Reinsurance 

Practical experience of portfolio roll-up, implementing control frameworks, MI design, reporting and communication 

Strong understanding of key mathematical and statistical concepts, and of Cat metrics such as PMLs and AALs 

Experience in working within an appropriate control framework to ensure robust delivery of figures for reporting desirable 

Strong organisational skills, verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Salary circa £70,000, depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications
