Senior Facilities and Maintenance Manager
Position Overview The International Truck Assembly Plant in San Antonio is seeking a motivated and energetic Senior Facilities and Maintenance Manager. This individual works in partnership with the Plant Leadership team and plays a critical role to ensure safety, production and quality metrics are met. This position provides leadership related to the day-to-day operations, scheduling, and maintenance at the truck assembly plant and reports directly to the Plant Manager. Responsibilities Strategic Plan: + Define and implement strategic plans for long-term business sustainability. + Align with plant and company vision, mission, and management directives. + Address external/internal challenges and performance deviations. + Prepare annual tactical plans and operational indicators. GlobalMaintenance Strategy (long term view): + Collaborate with international peers to develop a unified maintenance strategy. + Standardize processes and systems across plants. Plant Master Plan: + Coordinate with Engineering to update the master plan for the San Antonio site. + Address future building, process, and infrastructure needs. Investment Plan: + Identify and implement investments for maintenance and facilities. + Ensure business continuity and prepare for future demands. Operating Budget: + Project and manage the budget for maintenance and facilities. + Include personnel, consumables, and service contracts. People and Diversity Management: + Develop and retain a skilled and diverse team. + Provide formal feedback and individual development plans. + Improve organizational climate based on annual surveys International P&L Way: + Mentor and implement the International P&L Way operational strategy. + Apply core values, leadership principles, and effective methods. Sustainability/Environment: + Promote energy efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainable practices. + Ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Equipment Quality Control and Assurance: + Implement quality standards and regular inspections. + Conduct root cause analysis and problem resolution. + Collaborate with other departments to meet quality goals. Safety in Maintenance and Facilities: + Enforce safety policies and procedures. + Conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations. + Foster a safety culture and develop emergency plans. Third-Party Administration: + Manage contracts and performance of third-party providers. + Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards. + Conduct audits and resolve issues. Project Management: + Coordinate project teams and resources. + Maintain effective communication and risk management. + Ensure quality control and post-project evaluation. + Integrate project results into operations Minimum Requirements + Bachelor’s degree + At least 10 years of facilities or administration experience + At least 4 years of management experience OR + Master’s degree + At least 8 years of facilities or administration experience + At least 4 years of management experience OR + At least 12 years of facilities or administration experience + At least 4 years of management experience Additional Requirements + Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Technical Expertise: + Significant experience in facilities and maintenance management. + Proven track record of managing large teams and complex projects. + Experience with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and WCM (World Class Maintenance) and within the Automotive and heavy Manufacturing industries are important differentiators. + Proficiency in preventative and predictive maintenance programs. + Familiarity with Enterprise Asset Management Systems (EAMS). Project Management: + Proven experience in coordinating and managing projects. + Ability to allocate resources effectively and manage budgets. + Strong organizational and planning skills. Problem-Solving: + Excellent analytical skills for root cause analysis and continuous improvement. + Ability to resolve mechanical issues and implement effective solutions. Communication: + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to communicate strategic objectives and operational plans clearly. + Experience in conducting meetings and fostering team collaboration. Safety and Compliance: + Knowledge of safety regulations and standards. + Experience in conducting safety audits and risk assessments. + Ability to promote a culture of safety within the team. Sustainability: + Understanding of sustainable practices in maintenance operations. + Ability to implement energy efficiency and waste reduction initiatives. Certifications: + Relevant certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Maintenance Management Professional (MMP), or similar are differentiators.
