Senior Facility Engineer

Airswift has been tasked by one of our clients to seek a Senior Facility Engineer to join their team in Plano, TX for an initial 12-month contract, likely to be extended!
The primary focus will be “uptime” – keeping CO2 production & injection on from the production well choke to the LACT Unit, including water disposal/injection, production separation, facility heat media, well testing, tankage/vapor recovery, gas/oil sales, and CO2 recycle/gas lift compression. This includes CO2 floods, water floods, and conventional production on all Denbury Assets.
Work will primarily be conducted in an office environment; travel will be required to district and field offices and CO2/Conventional oil and gas production facilities, with the occasional need to wear personal protective equipment.
Responsibilities: Direct reporting to the Business Unit (BU): A Senior Facility Engineer (FE) will be assigned to each BU for planning, scoping, estimating and executing various projects being assigned by the BU Execution of Projects: The primary focus is for the FE to provide/manage engineering services to the BU, most work (in the Construction Phase) will be executed by the Project Management Department (PM) or Operations with oversite on design and installation by the FE Manage Capital/LOE project spend and budget as it relates to surface facility work Working within the Denbury team structure including PE, RM, PM and Operations to optimize the CO2 and Conventional surface oil, gas and water production facility performance including developing/implementing engineered solutions for issues that may be limiting production, productivity, efficiency and general operability of the asset Troubleshooting CO2 oil field production systems and equipment; monitoring pressures, temperatures, and rates throughout the system; reviewing current operating conditions versus design and set points; trend & analyze performance, uptime, downtime, and reliability and develop/implement solutions to optimize field activities and ensure mechanical integrity of equipment is achieved and maintained Act as Technical POC (point of contact) for Maintenance and Construction Staff in managing the day-to-day operations and execution of all project activities Participate in Design Reviews led by the PM (PFD review, P&ID reviews, Model Reviews, etc.) Work with operations and PM teams to develop commissioning, start-up, and operating procedures and coordinate commissioning, and start-up, activities to safely commission, start-up and operate CO2 and Conventional Facilities Coordinating with the Denbury regulatory department to ensure the optimization work and projects have the necessary permits and performance standards as required by local, state and federal agencies Support the utilization, development and implementation of standards, processes, and procedures – MOC, Project Execution, Mechanical Integrity/Reliability, Engineering & Construction Standards & Recommended Practices, etc. Requirements: Minimum B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Experience in all phases of projects including development, estimating, project management, engineering, and construction of CO2 and Conventional Oil and Gas facilities Exceptional team and interpersonal skills with the ability and desire to work within a multidisciplinary team Minimum of 10+ years Facility Engineering experience Experience with CO2 Enhanced Oil Recovery required Strong business acumen and demonstrated understanding of project economics Working knowledge of ANSI/ASME, DOT, and API codes as related to the oil & gas industry Experience with and understanding Process Flow Diagrams (PFD’s), Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID’s), Plot Plans, Plan and Section Drawings, and ISO’s Experience with Wiring Diagrams, Area Classification, and Electrical On-line Drawings Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Hydraulic Modeling Software (HYSYS, PipeSim, GAP) strongly preferred
