Senior Facility Operations SpecialistKBR is seeking a Senior Facilities Manager to support our offices in Chantilly and Herndon, VA. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning and Execution: Responsible for planning, executing, and when vendor-executed, managing and escorting all facility operations and maintenance repairs and construction.Customer Request Resolution: Receive and resolve all KBR customer requests and inquiries related to facility operations including but not excluding:facilities planning, refurbishment, construction, movement of office furniture.maintaining office assignments/floorplans.food / snack set out and ordering.janitorial, repair, and maintenance services.soliciting vendors for necessary maintenance or repair servicesperforming office service activities such as receiving and distributing mail and receiving deliveries, forms management and ordering office supplies.Apply Policies, Procedures and Best Practices: Applies policies, procedures, and best practice processes to support facilities management and office services activities.Vendor Management: Seeks, oversees, and manages KBR facility vendors; procuring independent quotes and supplying information to support purchase requisitions/orders for services. Ensures invoices and purchase are properly coded in a timely manner.Team Collaboration: Works closely with other Facility Management Team members, building management/engineers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure efficient and successful day-to-day building operations.Sustainability Reporting Support: Works with Building Engineers and Facility Landlords to support KBR Sustainability Reporting.Handle Day-to-day Facilities Issues: Responds to day-to-day facilities issues ensuring a safe, well-maintained, and clean work environment for all employees and subcontractors in working within assigned KBR spaces.Environmental Safety and Facility Plan Support: Supports environmental, safety, security, and other facility plans, process, and audits.Ensure Room Cleanliness and Presentability: Ensures kitchens and meeting/training rooms are clean and presentable, with all necessary materials and catering items to support meetings, events, and daily operations.Maintain Facility Floor Plans: Maintains and updates Facility Floor PlansExpenditure Coordination: Coordinates with NSS CapEx, Facility, and Real Estate lead on all Facility expenditures.Vendor identification and Onboarding: Works diligently to identify, onboard, and retain quality and cost-effective KBR vendors to support building maintenance, repair, construction and supply needs.Office Equipment Management: Responsible for the management of all office equipment maintenance / inspections to include AEDs, beverage machines, fire extinguishers, and postage meters.Emergency Response Plans: Maintains Local Emergency Response Plans (LERPs).Sustainable Solution Implementation: Advises and supports the implementation of sustainability solutions across assigned KBR locations.Order Supplies: Orders office and kitchen supplies and keeps inventory of stock; reconciles Purchase Card purchases on time and according to KBR processes and timelines.Company Meeting/Event Support: Supports the planning and execution of company meetings and events to include physical set-up, execution, and post event reconciliation.Conference Room Calendaring: Supports management of key conference room calendars in cooperation with other KBR -Operations Team members as well as members from IT and Security.Vendor Escort: Primary escort for vendors/maintenance/construction/visitors related to facility issues.Morale Event Support and Executions: Supports the planning and execution of morale events as required.Facility Maintenance: Maintains the facility in good working order, responsible for arranging, managing, and assuring HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and other facility maintenance is performed; uses landlord facility management ticket processes.Light Repairs: Performs light repairs within NSS spaces, e.g., replacing light bulbs, refrigeration filters, soda and coffee machine maintenance. Identifies and coordinates the repair of plumbing and electrical issues, coordinates with Facility Engineer on common area repairs.Facility Utility Usage Reporting: Submits facility utility usage reports in accordance with KBR requirements.Required Qualifications:
Clearance: Top Secret SCI Security ClearanceDriver License: Have an active driver license and ability to commute to multiple company facilities in DMV area.Experience: 4+ years of experienceExcellent communication skills and ability to function as a self-starter.Ability to plan, organize and oversee office improvement projects.Proficiency in basic plumbing and electrical work.Strong organizational, project management, planning, problem-solving skills.Ability to work well under pressure and to remain calm in stressful situations.Proficient with Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Willingness to take directions from all levels of management and build respectful relationships with all teammates and guests.Ability to handle multiple projects and daily activities, meet deadlines, and develop plans on how to accomplish departmental and maintenance goals.Strong organizational, project management, planning, problem-solving skills.Ability to work well under pressure and to remain calm in stressful situations.Experience with CostPoint is preferredWork Environment:
Location: On-site.Travel Requirements: Minimal (~10%); travel in the local DMV area as required to perform FM duties. Working Hours: Standard: expected to be present in the Chantilly office M-F during core hours of 0730-1530.
