Senior Field Application Engineer (FAE)- Automotive

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Build and maintain strong technical relationships with key accounts, inspiring confidence in NI's platform. Understand customer technical requirements and recommend the appropriate software and hardware solutions. Collaborate with account teams, taking the lead on technical strategies for the accounts. Stay ahead of industry trends, identifying and addressing future customer technical needs. Act as the voice of the customer, influencing NI’s technical direction and product development.  Who You Are: You are passionate about solving complex technical problems and have a customer-centric approach. You enjoy working in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment and can easily adapt to new challenges. You have a strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience. You are self-motivated, a quick learner, and have a strong desire to grow in a customer-facing engineering role.  For This Role, You Will Need: An undergraduate or graduate degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math). A minimum of 8+ years of work experience in the Test and Measurement industry. At least 5 years of relevant experience in Automotive (TBU), especially in a customer-facing role. Experience collaborating closely with sales teams and communicating technical information to customers. Solid knowledge of Automated Test software and hardware platforms. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with fluency in English. Willingness and ability to travel within India (~50%) and occasionally to APAC and the US (~5%).  Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: A background in Electronics and Communication or Mechatronics or Automotive Engineering. Hands-on experience with RF Fundamentals and Measurements. Proficiency in software tools such as NI LabVIEW, .NET, Python, C++, and software design patterns. Certifications in NI LabVIEW and NI TestStand development patterns. Experience in FPGA programming and fixed-point algorithm development.
