What You’ll Do We are looking for a Senior Field Event Manager to lead Avalara’s EMEA third-party event strategy, ensuring seamless execution of trade shows and field events across multiple geographies. You will utilise your event marketing expertise, project management skills, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-impact, customer-focused events aligned with Avalara’s goals. They should also be able to step up when needed for our regional user conferences, customer and partner roundtable events. What Your Responsibilities Will Be Event Planning & Execution: Own end-to-end event management, from budgeting, logistics, and vendor coordination to on-site execution and performance analysis. Strategic Leadership: Develop and optimize the EU event strategy, ensuring alignment with marketing goals while driving efficiency and effectiveness. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, partners, and vendors to ensure a cohesive approach to event execution. Data-Driven Decision Making: Track KPIs, analyze performance, and provide insights to enhance event impact and ROI. Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and refine event management processes for scalability and effectiveness. Demand generation mindset – Ensure all field events have a strong ROI / pipeline generation strategy, ownership of all field and partner event execution from planning, execution to lead upload and further follow up to ensure results. Team Leadership: Guide and mentor the EMEA Field Events Team, fostering collaboration and best practices. Problem solver and strong communication skills: demonstrated experience working with cross functional teams, ability to articulate the strategy, plan and execution plus performance to sales and executive leaders in QBRs and other meetings. Excellent verbal and written communication skills What You'll Need to be Successful 8+ years of experience managing large-scale B2B events in the UK/EU. Proven ability to drive event strategy, execution, and measurable results. Strong demand generation mindset, project management, budgeting, and negotiation skills. Expertise in Salesforce, PowerBI, Allocadia and marketing automation tools preferred. Industry experience and multilingual skills are a plus.
