Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Perform field service aboard naval vessels. This includes Set To Work and system light offs (STW), Shipboard Acceptance Testing (SAT) and Harbor Acceptance Testing (HAT)Troubleshoot, repair and support installation of electronic assemblies, subassemblies and components aboard naval marine vesselsTroubleshoot down to the component level, as required. Load system software or perform software updatesInterface with the ship’s forces and manage customer expectations in a professional mannerTravel to reporting office to be trained and learn multiple systems and products. Become proficient at company’s portfolio of products, A/RSupport field service proposal generation and estimating with operations, contracts and programs, A/RSupport development of new products and production testing at reporting facility, A/RCreate, review, analyze and interpret test data and technical reportsLook for additional opportunities to expand service or provide future service opportunities for the businessWill be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Must have the ability to supervise and or manage other technicians or subcontractors, A/R

Required Skills:

Strong ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams or wire listsA working knowledge of electrical/electronic components and test equipment7+ years of experience performing field service in the electrical/electronic testing fieldMust be safety conscious and follow company and shipyard proceduresHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredSelf-starter with excellent communication skillsStrong computer skillsTravel required (up 75%) to support fielded equipment. Domestic and internationalAbility to obtain a US Government security clearance. Security clearances are granted to U.S. citizens.

Associate or Bachelor’s degree desirableEstablished security clearance highly desirablePower conversion/power supply experience desirableWorking knowledge of digital electronics desirableExperience with analog and digital power circuits on naval platforms desirable

Physical Requirements:

Standing for long periods of time while performing tests on equipmentBending and kneeling to service equipmentCarry tools (approximately 35 LBS) to shipyards and test facilitiesAbility to maneuver around tight corridors and passageways in a naval marine environment Ability to work in close and confined spacesAbility to work in naval marine environment, including at sea conditions
