Senior Field Service Engineer

Job Description

Provides customer support through the performance of on-site installation, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems. Checks out and approves operational quality of system equipment. Instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of the system. Serves as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.

You will report to SOLUTIONS & SERVICES BUSINESS Leader, Indonesia.

Functional

Accountable for assigned projects/ assignment and ensure the realization in terms of scope, timeline, cost and customer satisfaction as per project requirement.Provide technical assistance and field service to customers by performing one or more of the following:Engineering assistance application, programming specifications, etc.Field service installation start-up integration, system optimization, maintenance and warranty implementation.Troubleshooting of hardware and software problems at customer site.Provide customer coordination of RA products and systems by performing the following functions:On-site analysis and specification preparation.Hardware configuration – system and product application.Programming assistance.Project coordination between customer, OEM sales, product division, etc.Technical support – field start-up, integration and maintenance.Documentation.Testing and acceptance.Provide proper reporting of technical, administrative and accounting information as required.Provide technical assistance to sales and customer personnel on product applications to include alternatives, recommendations, explanations, surveys, etc. to meet the customer's requirements.Make recommendations for product improvements, especially as they affect operations and reliability of RA products.Assist in training customers and RA personnel in the application, operation, adjustment and proper maintenance of RA equipment.Provide feedback concerning safety and liability issues as it relates to the application of RA products.Maintains assigned equipment to insure good operating conditions and calibration.Ensure familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately apply policies and procedures in compliance with government laws.Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies published on the Rockwell Automation Information Network.Other duties to be assigned by Immediate Supervisor.

Interpersonal

Build up and Maintain good relationships with the customers.Mentoring and sharing experience to team in technical topic.

SKILLS (Technical/ Functional Skills required for the role):

Ability to design, develop, program and troubleshoot DCS, PLC, HMI, Drives and SCADA systems.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of seven (7) years engineering experience utilizing programmable controllers, numerical controls, computers or motor controls and drives industrial automation control systems.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor Degree or higher in Engineering or equivalent and/or registration as a professional engineer.

Personal Attributes

Customer-oriented, committed and a team-player.Willing to travel where necessary (with 50-70% frequency).
