The Senior Field Service Technician is responsible for leading, training and supporting dealers/customers in regards to questions about installation, troubleshooting and website navigation for PivoTrac products to new and existing customers. This involves consistent customer support and interaction, as well as travel to customer sites to diagnose issues and provide training for ongoing maintenance and resolution of technical issues. With more extensive electrical and mechanical knowledge and experience, the Senior Field Service Technician will diagnose complex technical issues, mentor technicians, and ensure high-quality service for customers.

Essential Functions

Supports the development and implementation of new product rollout plans that the Service groups will need for trainingAnswer dealer/customer questions regarding installation, troubleshooting and website navigationDetermine the nature of the call and determine the best path to resolution; either resolve the problem or escalate to Field Service EngineerProgram modems and keep and maintain database of devicesCreate RMA’s and document warranty claimsAssist customers inquiries about products and services during high call volumePrepares product and/or service reports by collecting and analyzing call dataIn conjunction with Valley service staff, plan and present for technical products suite at Valley Service SchoolsIn Field Dealer/Grower visits as necessaryProvides tech training to dealers, Valley TM’s, and Tech Sales StaffFollow safety protocols and industry standards while working on electrical and mechanical systemsThis position reports into the Field Service Engineer SupervisorThis role requires up to (50%) travel, including overnight stays

Other Important Details about the Role:

Must have the ability and personality to calmly deal with de-escalate tense situations in the field and on the phoneEffectively communicate technical solutions, ideas, and questionsMust be flexible for overnight travel on short notice.  Mostly domestic, and sometimes internationalMust see things through to completionBe a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision

Required Qualifications of Every Candidate:

Preferred Bachelors or Associates Degree with 5+ years relevant experience or 7+ years of relevant experience2+ years of mechanical service experienceThe ability to solve problems and make decisions effectivelyValid U.S. driver’s license, passport and ability to travelA strong working knowledge of Microsoft office suite

Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years relevant experienceFarm backgroundPrevious experience in Ag Irrigation servicePrevious experience in Precision Ag IndustryCertified ElectricianPassion and integrity with the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
