The Contra-COGS team in Bratislava is looking for exceptional, smart and ambitious Analysts to join our Contra-COGS team. S/he will support the existing financial reporting structure and compliance processes across Amazon EU, ME, Africa and FE.
The role is very broad based and will require an individual who has an eye for details and is good at communicating across functional teams.
Base pay for this position starts from EUR 1,785+ gross per month and salary depends on the skills and requirements, there will be further pay components such as a sign on bonus and the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. Company benefits apply subject to further terms, including annual membership in medical clinic, life insurance, retirement pension, meal voucher card, career development.
Key job responsibilities
- Review and reconcile financial agreements, ensure that accurate information is entered into various reporting tools.
- Review and approve Promotions offered to end customers
- Support all members of finance and retail teams to drive best practices, especially in the area of pricing, vendor agreements, management reporting and compliance.
- Supervise daily operations, become the expert on reviewing C-COGS agreements and Promotions.
- Audit and improve standard C-COGS tools & processes, enable simplification, automation and scale.
- Identify and communicate issues and areas for improvement to Finance/ Vendor Managers and make recommendations which processes should be improved or optimized.
- Develop excel based tools and financial analysis models to support business decision making.
- Perform deep dive analysis to identify root business and reporting issues.
- Ensure SLA is met, analyze and improve ongoing business results.
- Report results to countries and senior management, maximize Cash Flow by supporting the business.
About the team
The BTS CCOGS team operates in CCOGS compliance and deal profitability areas for a wide variety of marketplaces across the EU, ME, Africa and FE regions providing support to both retail and finance teams. We strive exceptional accuracy and constantly explore opportunities for furher automation, standardization and profitability gains.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor/ master degree in finance, business administration or related field.
- Fluent English.
- Upper Intermediate Excel user, very comfortable with software and tools.
- High attention to details, you like to structure and organize things so that they make sense.
- Able to multitask several projects, deliver against tight timelines and analyze data in a clear and structured manner.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively and problem-solve.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Excel user, very comfortable with software.
- Fluent English and any of following languages German, French, Arabic, Spanish, Italian, Turkish, Dutch, Polish, Swedish is preferable.
