The Role

The Senior Finance Analyst based in London is a key member of the Corporate FP&A function, which is responsible for managing the Conde Nast Global P&L as well as running the budgeting and forecasting process to help deliver the company’s financial targets. The team is based in the US, UK and India, and we work closely with all functions and markets, as well as the people function. Our work is absolutely critical to the business as we help to ‘join the dots’ and provide the global executive leadership team with the insight and information needed to manage company performance and drive strategic decisions. We are also at the forefront of implementing consistent and standardised reporting and processes across the company, aligned with our broader finance vision.

What will you be doing?

Support the Head of FP&A to provide ongoing business partnering support to global functional finance leads through developing a deep understanding of key drivers & business challenges and forging close working relationships across multiple finance stakeholder groups. 

Oversee the production of the key monthly consolidated reporting for the group (reviewing the centre of excellence outputs to ensure accuracy)

Help to prepare the monthly financial results for the global CEO & CFO as well as providing reporting packs for the board & Conde Nast executive leadership team. Provide insightful, forward-looking commentary on performance and proactively identify areas to investigate further 

Review and report our global monthly KPIs, joining the dots between the financial & non-financial metrics and collaborating with senior colleagues across various functions to ensure clear & accurate insights are provided.

Support in the delivery of our global rolling risks and opportunities reporting to provide early indicators of global performance outside of the formal planning cycles.

Manage time sensitive financial insights & reporting requests from senior global stakeholders

Support the delivery of the global forecast and budget process end to end, working closely with a variety of internal senior finance stakeholders across the business

Proactively seek out opportunities to improve the efficiency & effectiveness of corporate FP&A reporting & insights

Who you are:

2+ years post qualified or QBE with at least 6-7 years relevant experience 

Experience in media, or a similar industry within an international company

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience collaborating with senior finance professionals, confident partnering with the business & being a ‘voice in the room’

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, comfortable with handling lots of data and delivering quality outputs with minimal review required 

Proven experience of using initiative to build a deeper understanding of the numbers to ‘tell the story’ about business performance

Able to work in a cross-functional matrix organisation, and experience in managing work deliverables across multiple time-zones.

Experience of managing the delivery of reporting improvements from identifying the opportunity through to implementation in a complex operating environment.  

Works well under pressure prioritises effectively and takes ownership of deliverables 

Self-motivated, flexible & a great team player, adaptable to pitch in to wider demands of the team where required

Proficient user of G-suite, and prior exposure to Adaptive planning (workday) or Oracle EPM
