Position Summary
Tyson Foods is seeking a strategic, results-oriented Senior Finance Analyst to join our Beef & Pork Analytics team. This high-impact role goes beyond traditional reporting, playing a critical part in driving data-informed decision-making across finance, operations, and supply chain functions. The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with advanced analytical capabilities, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This individual will own key analytical initiatives, influence cross-functional strategies, and help shape the financial direction of one of the world’s leading protein companies.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Analytics Leadership: Lead the development of advanced analytical models and financial tools that support business optimization, cost reduction, and value creation strategies.Executive-Ready Insights: Deliver data-driven insights and visual storytelling tailored to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to drive strategic decision-making.Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as a key liaison between Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and IT, translating complex data into clear business implications.Data Governance & Quality: Champion data integrity and consistency by establishing and enforcing governance practices, ensuring the reliability of insights and reporting.Process Innovation: Identify and implement opportunities to automate manual processes, improve data workflows, and increase the accessibility of insights at scale.Project Ownership: Take ownership of critical strategic initiatives and lead analytical workstreams, from scoping to execution, in support of enterprise priorities.Technology Enablement: Collaborate with data engineering and IT teams to shape the development of scalable analytics infrastructure, including data pipelines and system integrations.Market & Tools Foresight: Stay ahead of emerging analytics technologies and industry trends to continuously evolve capabilities and recommend best-in-class solutions.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree or MBA is a plus.4+ years of experience in financial analysis, business intelligence, or data science, ideally in a manufacturing, CPG, or supply chain environment.Advanced proficiency in tools and languages such as SQL, Power BI, Power Query, Python or R; strong Excel skills are required.Proven ability to independently manage complex analyses and present compelling insights to executive stakeholders.Experience working in cross-functional teams and influencing without direct authority.Solid understanding of financial concepts, cost structures, and key performance metrics.Familiarity with data governance and structured data environments; experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) is a plus.Self-starter with excellent communication skills and a continuous improvement mindset.Relocation Assistance Eligible:
