As Senior Finance Analyst – Functions, you will play a key role in managing functional OPEX and headcount, supporting the Cytiva R&D organization with ROI modeling and project prioritization, and leading process improvement initiatives to streamline financial reporting.
This position is part of the CFO Analyst team within the HQ Finance Department and is on-site in Marlborough, Massachusetts. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
What you will do:
+ Own and operationalize the monthly closing and forecast processes for select business functions, providing in-depth analytics and commentary of actual vs forecasted performance, and ensuring adherence to targets.
+ Apply zero based budgeting techniques & other best practices to drive continuous improvement in spending across functions.
+ Support R&D and product managers with financial modeling for new R&D investment opportunities, and help inform R&D portfolio capital allocation decisions using KPI metrics such as NPV, IRR, and payback period.
+ Drive standardization and process improvements in forecasting and reporting, including best practice sharing.
+ Serve as a trusted partner to business stakeholder leaders, and clearly communicate complex financial processes and results to non-financial audiences.
Who you are:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration, or equivalent knowledge or experience
+ 5+ years of progressive financial experience focused on providing budget, forecast, and business analysis support with a large organization
+ Advanced Microsoft Excel & financial modelling skills. Proficiency in financial systems & data visualization tools. (Oracle, SAP S4/Hana, OneStream, PowerBI, and Qlik preferred)
+ Strong technical finance & analytical skills, with proven ability to understand and summarize large datasets into key takeaways and actions for the senior leadership team.
+ Strong business mindset. Must be able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives, and drive positive change
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ R&D project finance
+ Valuation analysis using DCF modelling
