British American TobaccoUK  has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Controller – ERP Implementation Global Project in London- Fixed-Term 3 Years

BAT is embarking on a comprehensive ERP implementation project for optimizing our operations globally. We are seeking a Senior Finance Controller to lead the financial aspects of this global initiative. This will be a large multi-year ERP strategy global business transformation project migrating SAP ECC to SAP S/4. The project includes:

The transition of multiple end-to-end business processes (e.g., Order to Cash, Seed to Smoke, Record to Report).The global deployment of new SAP S/4 operational models across three regions and various directly reporting business divisions.

The Finance Controller will play a pivotal role in the successful implementation of ERP migration across our global operations .This position involves leading all aspects of all financial processes including financial forecasting, scenario modelling, and applications of accounting treatment, ensuring compliance with corporate policies especially Group Accounting, providing strategic financial mentorship and ensuring all financial metrics are achieved throughout the project lifecycle.

Your key responsibilities will include

Work with the Project Director and other Project Team members to formulate underlying assumptions, collection data, and develop financial models understanding the Project risk profile, inter-dependencies, sensitivities, scenario planning and financial impactsWork with 3rd Party Suppliers to ensure timesheets/costs are accurately authorized, invoiced, and recorded.Perform financial modelling, sensitivity, and scenario analysis to accurately reflect the impact of proposed changes on the operating results of the project and to support informed business decisions including future cost trends.Prepare and deliver accurate financial information (Budgets, Forecasts and Actual results), group accounting policies for the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial constraints.Proactive analysis of Actual Cost of Work Performed (ACWP) v Budgets, Estimate to Complete (ETC) and estimations of Earned ValueEnsure accurate accounting treatment of all Project spend in line with IFRS and internal company policy including cost treatment between CAPEX and Opex.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and HR, to align financial strategies with project goals providing support for Senior Management by preparing and presenting comprehensive financial reports and management board presentations that summarize project progress, financial performance, and strategic recommendations, using PowerPoint skills to efficiently tell the story and share updates.Provide training and support the Project Team ensure understanding of financial processes within the ERP framework, working closely with the Business Divisions and Functions to ensure the Program’s life cycle benefits are realized..

What are we looking for?

Proven experience in finance management, controlling, Accounting for large companies or with a focus on large-scale projects with extensive financial modeling experience!Validated experience with SAP financial modules (e.g., FICO) and an understanding of ERP processes and knowledgeable in identifying risks and in implementing controls.Excellent communication (oral and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with complementary teams at all levels internally and externallyDemonstrated proficiency in PowerPoint, with a strong ability to build compelling presentations that convey sophisticated financial information clearly and effectively including confidence in working with and addressing senior management.Proven track record to handle several priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment with minimum supervision.Strong problem-solving skills and a detailed understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, specifically SAP / BI / BPC/Materials Management.A university degree or equivalent experience with an Accounting (ACA) or equivalent qualification and proficient in English
