About the role 

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Manager to lead the eCommerce Finance Team in FP&A across e-Commerce, including all trading performance insight, planning, reporting and financial control.

 

This role will see you collaborate cross-functionally with Group Planning & Reporting, Strategy, Investor Relations and other finance teams within the supermarkets business to drive continuous improvement in financial reporting, process governance, risk management and control, as well as drive team performance through mentorship, inspiration and motivation.

 

You will also:

Create insightful and concise written presentations for Digital and Executive Leadership Teams to communicate business performance and drive action Control quality of the team’s analysis, challenge assumptions, bring additional insight and draw out implications Focus on the control environment, identifying areas of weakness and offering appropriate solutions to mitigate risk Influence outcomes by challenging appropriately using data to deliver the right outcome for the business, adapting style and influencing techniques to the relevant stakeholder Support the delivery of the strategy in own role and guide team to deliver value in line with the strategy, effectively prioritising teams time to manage change and achieve business objectives Deliver financial information to identify business opportunities/challenges, recommend alternate actions, and oversee implementation

 


About you and your skills 

 

As a Senior Finance Manager, you’ll have highly developed commercial, strategic and influencing skills, coupled with strong commercial acumen and mindset. You will have experience in developing and managing high performing finance teams, and a proven ability to drive organisational, deal with complexities and high-level information effectively.

 

You will also ideally have:

CA/CPA/MBA or equivalent  Experience in a retail environment is desirable but not essential with the right combination of experience Experience in a FP&A/Corporate planning team desirable Ability to link strategy and financial performance to provide a clear and compelling narrative Sharp commercial skills and growth mindset Be a self-starter who displays tolerance, innovation, creativity, decisiveness, flexibility and open mindedness to alternative views
