What You'll Do:

As a Senior Finance Manager, FP&A you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, providing strategic support to Lubrizol Additives (LZA) and the Lubrizol Executive Leadership Team (LELT) with financial planning, analysis and reporting. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life. You will utilize quantitative and qualitative analysis of all operational aspects of the company to evaluate progress toward achieving goals and to map out future goals, opportunities, and challenges. You will review economic and business trends, past performances, etc. and anticipate obstacles and potential issues in forecasting the company’s performance.

 

What We're Looking For:

Develop and execute financial strategies and plans to support the Lubrizol Additives (LZA) organization's goals and objectives. Serve as business partner to LZA CFO and Additives Leadership Team. Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to commercial & executive management team Analyze, research and summarize financial data and provide insights and recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency. Consolidate monthly LELT business decision week (BDW) deliverables. Develop and present financial reports, budgets, operating plans and forecasts for the executive team and corporate finance group. Manage and monitor the financial performance of the LZA organization, ensuring compliance with internal controls and other financial regulations and standards. Identify and evaluate business opportunities, partnerships, and investments through the use and development of financial models to support growth and expansion. Support monthly close process and lead the preparation of the monthly business review package for Lubrizol Executive Leadership Team, including financial results, presentations & reports. Lead the annual budgeting process, including timeline and tools. Lead monthly forecasting processes, providing insightful variance analysis and actionable recommendations to close any potential gap to plan or estimates Prepare weekly updates on key financial results, identifying risks and opportunities versus targets Monitor, interpret, and evaluate financial performance of the LZA division and its business units. Research, understand, and communicate variances to prior estimates, annual operating plan, and prior year with key drivers. Ensure timely and accurate financial statements submission. Lead special projects, such as Mergers, Acquisitions, Divestitures, Complexity reduction, Margin Enrichment, Product Line Optimization, Working Capital, and Cash Conversion Cycle optimization. Benchmark performance vs. peer companies and competitors, providing insightful analysis. Ensure internal controls are in place and maintained in alignment with US GAAP standards. Lead preparation of profit and loss forecasts, including gathering and consolidating pricing, costing, and foreign exchange inputs, working closely with commercial finance, corporate planning, and aligning demand volumes with demand planning, supply chain, and operations. Collaborate with corporate finance function and internal stakeholders to optimize financial processes and systems, maintaining consistency and accuracy in reporting and forecasting.

Skills That Make a Difference:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar business-related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, accounting, and modelling skills. Demonstrated strategic thinking and decision-making abilities Strong knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulations Advanced proficiency in financial software and systems like Business Intelligence tools (for example BOBJ, Power BI, Power Pivot, Power Query) and knowledge of Excel Motivated team player with strong written and verbal communication skills. Well-organized and flexible to handle conflicting requirements and tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environment. Experience in preparing executive-level communications and presentations. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner. Strong leadership plus effective cross-functional team management experience
