Senior Finance Manager, North America (NA) Fresh Finance
Description We're seeking an exceptional Senior Finance Manager to join our Grocery Finance team and shape the financial strategy of our North America Fresh business, with a focus on Topline, Growth Initiatives/Programs, Advertising Monetization, and Marketing Initiatives. Key job responsibilities Key Responsibilities: * Lead a team of Finance Managers overseeing core financial operations including planning, controllership, month-end closing, and P&L management. * Guide and develop finance professionals in building robust financial models and analytics capabilities. * Present comprehensive financial analyses and strategic recommendations to senior leadership. * Develop and execute financial strategies to drive long-term growth across all fulfillment channels (In-Store, Delivery, Pickup, and FCs). * Own the advertising monetization strategy and financial infrastructure. * Optimize marketing investments and measure campaign effectiveness. * Drive go-to-market strategy development and execution from a financial perspective. * Partner with Prime team to develop integration strategies that enhance customer acquisition and retention. * Collaborate with FP&A and engineering teams to develop automated reporting solutions * Build and maintain flexible financial models that support business innovation * Ensure alignment between financial planning and operational execution across departments A day in the life This broad-scope, strategic leadership role will shape financial decisions across our expanding grocery ecosystem, steering the business to accelerate topline growth across all channels while accelerating our path to profitability. In this pivotal role, you will be exposed to a wide range of stakeholders across multiple banners (Fresh, WFM), partnering with teams inside and outside of Grocery. You'll lead a high-performing team of 6 Finance professionals while working directly with senior leadership. As a trusted advisor to senior leadership, your financial insights will directly influence major business decisions that enhance the shopping experience for millions of customers. You'll be at the forefront of transforming grocery retail through financial innovation and strategic excellence. You will lead the finance work to define and improve customer experience enhancements and strategic initiatives (including our recently launched subscription program), contributing to improving our Grocery proposition. You will help improve the understanding of marketing investment impact, serving as a trusted advisor to the marketing team. In addition, one of your key areas of focus in this role will be developing advertising monetization strategies and strengthening our financial infrastructure to support ambitious Advertising revenue growth targets. This position requires a unique blend of financial acumen and strategic vision to transform high-potential opportunities into sustainable revenue streams. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in multi-channel retail finance, demonstrated strategic vision, and proven leadership abilities. Understanding of grocery retail operations, e-commerce dynamics, and modern fulfillment technologies is essential. Basic Qualifications - 12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - 3+ years of performing financial and ad hoc analysis using data reporting tools experience - 10+ years of positions that require analysis and reporting financial results experience - 8+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience - 8+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience - 8+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience - 8+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience - 7+ years of directly managing and leading a team of 10+ members experience - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field Preferred Qualifications - 5+ years of hiring, leading and developing teams experience - 8+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience - 8+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience - 8+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience - 5+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience - MBA, or CPA Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $137,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $227,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
