**Overview:** Do you like creating new processes, driving efficiency, and building world-class data and technology products for your finance colleagues? The Senior Finance Manager in FP&A’s Transformation Team will be an integral part of our finance-wide transformation efforts. In this role, you will manage the enterprise planning and forecasting product/service, which includes all processes and technology related to our monthly forecast and annual planning efforts. This role is highly visible and will collaborate with leaders across finance including FP&A, Treasury, and Accounting along with line of business SMEs and leaders. **Primary Responsibilities:** + Use FP&A expertise to drive process improvement by developing strategies and initiatives with FP&A leadership and translating these to process and technology roadmaps + Work with functional and technical (business applications) teams to document and translate requirements for new technology capabilities (Oracle Cloud / EPBCS) + Work with senior and executive managers to identify emerging opportunities and issues to improve the organization’s growth and profitability through revenue enhancements, process/system improvements, cost management, capital management and risk management. + Participate in the development and implementation of Finance department goals, contributing to strategic decisions with a comprehensive understanding of the business line or program as well as knowledge of industry/competitor strategies. + Informally coach and develop junior managers for a sustainable bench-strength and resource planning. + Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.Design, implement, maintain and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis.Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management. + Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand. + Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable. + Complete other related duties as assigned. **Supervisory/ Managerial Responsibilities:** Will have direct supervisory responsibilities. This role will rely heavily on the incumbent's ability to direct/persuade/influence across division and peers throughout the bank. **Education and Experience Required:** Bachelor’s degree and a minimum 9 years’ experience in Finance, Business or a related field with 3 years’ managerial experience or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 13 years’ higher education and/or work experience with 3 years’ managerial experience Advanced knowledge of word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, and other Business Intelligence software Experience with Enterprise FP&A and EPM/CPM technology (Oracle EPBCS, Anaplan, OneStream, SAP, Workday Adaptive, Pigment) Experience in enterprise level profitability analytics frameworks Thorough knowledge of project management concepts and applications Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills including basic knowledge of accounting principles Excellent written and verbal communication skills Solid knowledge and understanding of the bank’s financial information systems and financial concepts In-depth knowledge of the banking industry Solid proven leadership/managerial ability Experience writing business requirements and performing User Acceptance Testing **Education and Experience Preferred:** Advanced degree (MS, MBA) in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, CMA, or CPA Experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, strategic planning with financial services industry Experience with technology implementations (ERP, EPM) M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees.
