We are seeking a talented individual to join our Controllership team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Responsible and accountable for all financial accounting activities in the country including general accounting, financial reporting and financial systems interface.Responsible for the stakeholder support model and to ensure high service quality and satisfaction, and is able to navigate and manage the size and complexity of the various operating companies and the regional office.Foster a culture of compliance, accountability, and ethical conduct.Stakeholders’ Management
Articulates a clear stakeholder support model designed to maintain Controllership credibility by delivering high quality support while maintaining Controller independence.Sets clear targets that take account of differing priorities of stakeholders and holds Country Controllership Team accountable for the quality of support and overall stakeholder satisfaction.Builds relationships with all country level stakeholders, checks-in periodically and intervenes decisively when required. Able to articulate the current state of relationships to senior management.Collaborate closely with various Functional stakeholders and Accounting hub to support finance operating requirements of the business. Support the resolution of relevant operational matters.Builds strong understanding of the business of corporate stakeholders including an understanding of their Business operations, their priorities, risks and challenges.Operations
Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards.Collaborate with global reporting teams to ensure consistency in financial reporting across the organization, and compliance to group accounting policies.Coordinate with SOX function, internal auditors, external auditors and regulatory bodies to facilitate audits and examinations.Implement and maintain robust internal controls to ensure audit readiness and compliance.Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate exposure.Develop and maintain a risk management framework aligned with regulatory requirements.Ensure strict adherence to Country regulatory requirements governing financial operations.Monitor changes in financial regulations and proactively update policies and procedures accordingly.Manage all aspects of tax compliance, including local tax regulations.Optimize tax strategies within the framework of legal requirements.What you need to have:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA, CPA or equivalent qualification is essential.12+ years’ experience in all phases of the controllership process with 5+ years supervisory experienceKnowledge of SOX and US GAAP / Local GAAP Financial Reporting StandardsStrong experience in overseeing financial information for the country functions and infrastructure including firm wide initiatives.In-depth understanding of Country regulations for insurance broking, tax compliance, and reporting requirements.Strong leadership and people management skills with a track record of building high-performance teams.Strategic mindset with the ability to align financial goals with regulatory compliance and overall business objectives.Proficient in financial software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.What makes you stand out?
