Senior Financial Accountant

The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for the management of the team and all accounting functions, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance in a fast-paced changing environment. To lead a first class, efficient, focused finance team ensuring accuracy and control meeting reporting deadlines in support of country requirements

Our European Service Centre office based in Swords, Co. Dublin, offers a bright, modern and friendly working atmosphere.

The role:

Leading an Accountant team and based at the Hertz European Service Centre in Dublin the Senior Financial Accountant is responsible to deliver with high quality and in a cost-efficient manner the Consolidated Actuals reporting for Hertz In-Countries entities.

•Partner with key stakeholders to provide accounting expertise and to deliver financial information

and analysis to support operational decision making as required

•Lead the delivery of US financial reporting requirements under US GAAP by planning, scheduling, and

overseeing monthly, quarterly, and year end close activities to meet the close timetable

•Work with outside providers to produce statutory accounts for In-Countries entities under local GAAP.

•Assist with Tax reporting for Hertz’ In-Countries entities under local GAAP.

•Prepare monthly and quarterly variance analysis for Senior management and external auditors

•Ensure compliance with SOX and internal control requirements

•Create & promote a culture of continuous improvement

•Deliver timely and accurate flux analysis on international results against prior periods, forecasts and

budgets

•Ensure accounting related balance sheet reconciliations and reviews are completed in accordance with Hertz procedural standards and physical inventories are conducted on an annual basis.

•Provide support to the international tax team on transfer pricing and other tax information requests

•In conjunction with the other Accounting leadership drive consistency, standardization and best

practice improvement across all processes

•Recruit, train & develop a world-class accounting team

Your skills:

•Strong accounting skills, accounting qualification along with experience (CPA , master’s in accounting (IT), ACCA, ACA).

•Advanced knowledge of US GAAP accounting

Local GAAP for Spain and UK markets for Financial Statement and In-Country TAX is an advantage.

•Strong accounting experience

•Proven track record in supervising groups of employees in a multinational environment.

•Strong management and communication skills (written and verbal)

•Exceptional analytical skills

•Works effectively across a complex global organization and with external parties

•Ability to problem-solve, multi-task and prioritize within a fast-paced environment

•Knowledge of Finance ERP systems, preferably Oracle Fusion and FCCS

•Driver of change and process excellence

•Good level of English and Spanish is a benefit.
