Senior Financial Accountant

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant.

In this role, you will:

Act as lead Consultant for financial accounting related matters for lines of business and other control functionsProvide technical expertise regarding accounting issues, regulatory information and researchProvide technical assistance on major transactions and product developmentProvide data for preparing and reviewing financial and regulatory reportsCommunicate practices and procedures for proper financial controlArticulate the impact of policy changes to management within business group or enterprisePerform ongoing financial control functions in accordance with the company's internal controls policiesApply extensive specialized knowledge and act as internal consultantLead implementation of complex projects and initiatives impacting one or more lines of businessIdentify compliance and risk management requirements for supported area and may support implementation of key risk initiativesCommunicate and provide consultation regularly with more experienced stakeholders throughout the enterprise


Required Qualifications:

4+ years of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Qualified CA in Finance & Accounting Significant experience in preparing end to end reconciliations/financial reportingUnderstand IFRS, US GAAP and ASCLiaise and effectively present owned processes to auditors, other teamsExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong problem solving and analytical skillsAdvanced Microsoft Office skillsGeneral ledger experienceStrong Knowledge and understanding of accounting, financial reporting, and/or operationsStrong Knowledge and understanding of US generally accepted accounting principles.Ability to trace and investigate transactions to resolve questionable data and apply corrective actions when necessary.

Good Team Player and most importantly is self-starter.Experience with effective written and verbal communications with an onshore teamAbility to track deadlines and submissions on timeAbility to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are importantExperience with Oracle, Essbase, Alteryx,  will be an added advantageShift timing: 1.30pm to 10.30pm IST. Need to work till 1am on critical days like BD1 & BD15 and whenever there is a business requirement3 days in a week is mandatory to report to office. No exceptions
