BSI is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our high-performing Finance team in Pretoria. This is more than just a numbers role – you’ll be a key player in bridging the gap between financial business services, local operations, and strategic management. Working four days a week from our Pretoria offices and enjoying flexible remote Fridays, you’ll collaborate closely with leadership, ensuring financial excellence while driving real business impact.

Responsibilities include:
To assist in the preparation of the monthly management accounts including monthly variance analysis and query resolution.Process month end journals and prepare month end reconciliations.Completion of VAT201's, EMP201's, EMP501's, other statutory and compliance filing (intermediate level of SA Tax and Compliance knowledge required).Collaboration with the Financial Business Services to ensure that all shared service transactional activities for South Africa are optimally executed.Providing guidance and support to internal and external stakeholder regarding financial information.Assist in ad hoc projects as and when required, to maximise your professional exposure and personal development.Assistance with annual budget preparation.Ensure intercompany loan accounts are agreed and balanced on monthly basis.Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register.Management of office admin support.To be successful in the role:
Qualifications & Experience: You should be a fully qualified CGMA, ACCA, CA(SA) or equivalent, with 3–5 years of relevant post-qualification experience. Alternatively, a B.Com degree with extensive experience in similar roles will be considered.Technical Proficiency: Strong systems experience is essential, including advanced Excel, ERP systems, and analytical tools. SAP experience is highly advantageous.Problem-Solving & Initiative: A proactive, solution-oriented mindset is key. You should be comfortable navigating ambiguity and taking the initiative in complex business scenarios.Stakeholder Communication: Strong emotional intelligence and communication skills are required to engage effectively with key stakeholders while maintaining objectivity and professionalism.Accuracy & Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to financial record-keeping and reporting is essential to ensure accuracy and compliance.Organisation & Time Management: The ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment is crucial.As a team member at BSI, you will enjoy an extensive, competitive total rewards package.
