Business Segment Overview

Corporate: Engage in a deep variety of business-critical activities that keep our company running efficiently. From strategic marketing and financial management to human resources and operational oversight, you’ll have the opportunity to optimize processes and implement game-changing policies.

Responsibilities

Position Purpose: Responsible for maintaining and developing financial information used for internal accounting, external regulatory reporting.  Maintain effective internal controls and work closely with internal business counterparts to optimize efficiency of the corporate accounting process. The individual will report to and directly support the Accounting Manager within the Birmingham Alabama Accounting team. 

 

Responsibilities:

Responsible for Month-end close process including preparation of supporting documentsPerform daily trade activity analysis utilizing Internal Accounting and Trading SystemsInteract daily with Operations and Middle Office teamsResponsible for Commission analysis and payouts utilizing Company’s Commission systemPrepare month-end cost analysis and discuss the results with manager and tradersCommunicate with trading desks on a regular basisDevelop an understanding of Industry Compliance and Regulatory rules Qualifications

Required: 

3-6 years professional experienceStrong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skillsExcellent analytical skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsSolid problem identification and resolution skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detail

Education and/or Certifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance requiredCPA or CPA candidateMBS or MBS candidate in Finance preferred

Working Environment: 

Onsite full time
