The Role

The Senior Financial Administrative Analyst performs analytical, research, and administrative duties to support the operations of the organization, to include providing executive-level assistance to the Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on highly sensitive and confidential administrative functions.

 

Responsibilities

Reviews and prepares accurate financial and budget reports to end users; assists the CFO in preparing, reviewing, and distributing scheduled financial reports. Audits accounting and operational records to confirm the accuracy and analyzes supporting documents to establish the completion of contracts, agreements, and applicable federal regulations.Oversees special projects, prioritizing and managing time sensitive matters; performs independent research, tracks status, and provides project summaries. Assists CFO in annual department budgeting, administration of financial plans; provides review for accuracy. Coordinates audit schedules, collects pertinent information, and documents financial reporting. Implements department procedures, providing documentation and analysis of existing procedures in accordance to regulatory environments.Depicts authority to resolve internal matters in the absence of the CFO.  Interprets organizational rules, regulations, procedures, and policies to the staff members and general public.  Assists in the preparation of numerous statistical trends and predictions.Ensures expenditures align with actual and budgeted numbers.Manages and maintains agency files and records including insurance, leases, fixed asset inventories, grants, closing statements, contacts, environmental modification, and other agreements.Managers day-to-day executive administrative responsibilities including phone calls and calendars, file systems and records management, travel arrangements, expense reports, invoices, and correspondence.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Financial Management and Accounting Principles: extensive understating of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAP), budgeting processes, and financial forecastingData Analysis and Reporting: knowledge of financial data analysis techniques, statistical tools, and reporting methods. Regulatory Compliance: familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and policies, such as internal controls, and audit procedures. ERP and Financial Systems: expertise in enterprise resources planning (ERP) systems like SAP, Oracle, or Workday, as well as financial software like QuickBooks or Hyperion. Cost Analysis and Optimization: strong understanding of cost-benefit analysis, variance analysis, and financial performance metrics. Project Management Principles: understanding of internal administrative policies, procurement processes, and financial documentation practices. Budget Development and Monitoring: expertise in preparing and managing multiyear budgets and tracking expenditures against performance goals. Communication and Reporting: strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex financial data to stakeholders clearly. Team leadership and Collaboration: ability to lead teams, mentor junior employees, and collaborate with cross-functional departments. Attention to Detail: high level of accuracy in preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and reviewing financial statements. Confidentiality: ability to handle sensitive financial data responsibility and ethically. Work Independently and Proactively: ability to work with minimal supervision while identifying opportunities for improvement.

Experience

Degree:  Bachelors Degree

 

Years:  Minimum of Five (5) year’s related experience.

Field: Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
