Job Description

As a key member of the Universal Products and Experiences (UP&E) Controllership team, the Senior Financial Analyst, Accounting & Reporting (SFA) will be part of the revenue accounting team responsible for accounting processes, controls, systems, and reporting across UP&E (Consumer Products, Digital Games, and Franchise Management). This position requires close interaction with other divisions and senior management, reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Accounting & Reporting. The SFA role exists within a fast paced environment having the opportunity for growth within the company.

Salary range: $70,000 - $95,000

Job Duties:

Key contributor for the monthly and quarter close processes around revenue and related accounts including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, roll forwards, and investigating variances to prior periods.Participate in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting packages, and opportunity to present results to Finance and Accounting leadership including UP&E CFO and Controller, Universal Destinations and Experiences (UDX) Controller, and NBCUniversal Corporate Financial Reporting.Participate in the overall management of RightsLogic (RSG), UP&E’s licensing subledger system in collaboration with the Contracts Operations team.Participate in the management of offshore accounting resources and review work product.Partner with Virtual Workforce team to use automation tools (robots, machine learning, AI) to automate accounting processes.Act as a liaison with other departments within UP&E, including Controllership counterparts around the world, FP&A, IT, and Contract Operations as well as other NBCUniversal teams including the UDX Controllership team. Provide audit support to the Financial Contract Administration & Reporting team related to Participant Audits.Generate key metric driven analytical reports for Management.Partner with Finance to ensure companywide financial goals and objectives are being met timely and efficiently.Participate in ad hoc projects and perform accounting research as needed.Remain current on new and emerging US GAAP guidance, trends and techniques as well as new contractual and operational arrangements to ensure that UP&E’s revenue recognition policies remain current and accurate.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related fieldMinimum 3 years’ experience in Accounting or FinanceHigh Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
