Position Summary

Reporting to APAC Operations Finance Controller, the key responsibilities will be for Operations financial reporting, planning and analysis in terms of Operating Expenses, Inventory and Capex. The position will develop and implement financial planning and control, perform financial analysis to determine present and future financial performance, prepare management reports and liaising with internal and external parties for any financial related matters.

 

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis (70%

•Gather financial numbers from SAP system and prepare analysis on OPEX movements on Logistics and Distribution, Supply Chain depts

•Prepare the monthly, quarterly and yearly financial closing activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance to accounting policies and timely submission of management and statutory reports.

•Responsible on the financial planning and forecast of SEA+ AU+ NZ on OPEX including annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, ensuring timely reporting.

•Perform Capex investment spend reporting and ensure there is business case to support investment

•Perform inventory trend reporting from SAP data and provide inventory projection based on trend and inbound shipment

•Perform monthly Excess & Obsolescence inventory reporting and work with internal team on the provision within the quarter. Perform analysis of E&O key highlights.

 

Accounting (30%)

•Prepare the annual standard cost revaluation on intercompany inventory, or annual Cost Roll activity

•Perform costing on new product and responsible for ensuring the correct price is setup in SAP system

•Perform validation on stock loss or adjustments from Operations team and ensure the correct entry in SAP system.

•Be involved in cycle counts or stock takes and ensure count reports from Operations are accurate and documented for submission to Corporate finance and external parties

 

Key Relationships/ Interface

•Internal: All functions/Intercompany/shared service provider/ US Corp team     

•External: Bankers/auditors/offshore service providers/Corporate secretarial services provider /3PL vendors.

 

Essential Skills/ Experienc

•Certified Accountant with Degree in Accounting or related qualification

•Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in financial analysis & planning

•Knowledge of SAP, Oracle Hyperion software experience is a must.

•Strong Excel skill, knowledge with Power BI, Power Query is a plus.

•Experienced in a regional scope is a bonus. Be prepared to take on regional reporting as required

•Good communication skill in English, oral and written, working knowledge of Mandarin or Bahasa Malay is a bonus.

•Able to meet tight deadlines for financial reporting, quarterly forecast and annual budgeting.

•Proficient with steep learning curve and handle high pressure environment.
