Senior Financial Analyst, AWS Marketing Finance
Amazon Web Services (AWS) Finance seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to be a key member of the AWS Marketing Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest growing businesses at Amazon. This role will support the Worldwide AWS Marketing organization to help drive AWS growth by providing analytical insights to business/finance leaders and driving core financial processes. There are opportunities for impactful analysis, program management, and process improvement. This role has regular interaction with AWS Finance leadership in support of key decision-making by our Worldwide AWS Marketing business partners, who run re:Invent, AWS Summits, Global Field Marketing, Product Marketing, Analyst Relations, and more!

The successful candidate will own critical FP&A and budget program management deliverables and will have the ability to manage multiple priorities. This individual will have a solid business acumen capable of driving results and improving processes. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial as well as the ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem solve, and prioritize.

Key job responsibilities
- Manage key budget program management deliverables, including budget processes and reporting.
- Support the forecasting and month-end close processes/timelines across the AWS Marketing Finance organization.
- Create insightful reports to explain monthly/quarterly drivers of expense variances between actual and planned performance.
- Utilize financial systems to generate, analyze, and communicate financial insights.
- Standardize, streamline, and improve reporting and processes.
- Assist with other ad-hoc areas of FP&A.
- Be self-driven and show the ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data.

A day in the life
Creating and maintaining strong relationships with business owners will be an important part of this role, which will require to work closely with finance leaders on a daily basis to understand and develop financial models and analytical insights. Strong ownership of the P&L and ability to help business owners understand month end close results and associated risks and opportunities is important. A bias for action is very important to help the business execute on their plans.
