The purpose of this role is to facilitate decision-making by effectively using data. This position will be responsible for extracting and analyzing data from our analytics tools, preparing comprehensive summaries, and working closely with Claims functional leaders as a finance business partner. This role requires strong analytical skills, keen attention to detail, the ability to collaborate effectively with collaborators across departments to share insights and the ability to think creatively – proactively solving programs and identify trends in claims reserving patterns.

What you'll do:Extract data from various analytical tools, build and maintain comprehensive dashboards, and prepare both summaries and detailed reports tailored to business needs to facilitate the tracking of key performance indicators.
Conduct detailed analyses of results to identify emerging trends, enabling the operation to comprehend business outcomes and support strategic decision-making processes.
Ensure the highest standards of data accuracy and integrity across all analyses and reports.
Improve and support management reporting, analysis, planning and forecasting activities.
Serve as a finance business partner, providing support to Claims functional leaders in their decision-making processes by bringing to bear data analysis.
Establish and cultivate robust working relationships with peers across Analytics, the Data team, Finance, Actuarial, and other Claims functions, ensuring continuous collaboration to gain insights into market trends and industry developments.
Monitor and analyze claims reserving patterns to identify trends and deliver actionable recommendations.
Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives targeted at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of claims processing, or ensuing compliance with government regulation changes.
What you'll bring:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in statistics, actuarial science, data science, or a candidate with a CPA designation.
Strong analytical/financial skills. 2-3 years of experience in the field of analytics or performance management.
Prior experience in insurance industry is preferred.
Knowledge of claims processing and reserving practices is a plus.
Ability to consume and manipulate large quantities of data.
Meticulous with a high level of accuracy in work.
Excellent communication, influencing, and team building skills.
Effective presentation skills to senior management.
Excellent MS Excel (and other MS tools) skills.
Experience with SAS and other programming languages for data analysis is a plus.
